Shocking CCTV Footage Shows the Moment Waitress Abducted Customer's Baby From Restaurant Because She Wants to Adopt Him

A shocking attempt by a waitress to reportedly KIDNAP a customer’s toddler was foiled after police tracked her down using surveillance cameras planted around the city.

CCTV footage from a restaurant in the city of Shiyan in China’s Hubei Province shows a mother, identified only by her surname Peng, walk into a restaurant with her 10-month-old boy and place him on the counter.

Mum and son are greeted by the waitress who appears to get along with them both.

According to CCTV News, which published the clip on its YouTube channel, the waitress agreed to look after the youngster while his mum briefly left the restaurant.

However, when the parent returned a few minutes later, the waitress and the child had apparently disappeared.

She can then be seen in various locations, walking along with the child in her arms as CCTV cameras across the city capture her movements.

After an agonising two-hour wait, police finally catch up with the waitress and the unharmed boy is reunited with his frantic mother.

CCTV News reported that the waitress, who they say was arrested and taken into custody, admitted making off with the child because she liked him and wanted to adopt him, Mirror.co.uk reports.
