Italian billionaire makes everyone in his village a millionaire after leaving £2m for each person in his will

80 residents in the sleepy Spanish village of Cerezales del Condado have just been made millionaires courtesy of one of their very own sons.

Antonino Fernández, the billionaire who founded Corona beer, has gifted everyone in his village roughly £2 million in his will after dying in August, aged 99.

The Corona founder grew up in poverty in the village from 1917 as the eleventh of 13 children and was forced to leave school aged 14.

But he emigrated to Mexico, aged 32, in 1949 and went on to become the CEO of Grupo Modelo, the brewery company which makes Corona beer.

In his will, the billionaire left around £168 million to the residents of the village of his birth and they are also using the money to build a cultural centre in the village.
