Medical Miracle: Conjoined Twins Attached In the Head/Brain, Finally Separated With Surgery Without Either of Them Dying (Photos)

For 13-months after their birth, twins Jadon and Anias McDonald were joined together by the head and were never able to see each other.

But all that changed after a life-threatening 27-hour operation that finally allowed them catch a glimpse of each other for the first time.

In October, the boys were successfully separated by surgeons at the Children's Hospital at Montifiore Medical Centre in New York.

After five weeks of historic recovery the boys are set to be moved into rehab before their eventual release from hospital.
